Cacao Fruit Harvest

Kaukawa works with over 100 organic farmer families which recollect Chuncho Cacao fruits from the highlands of Machu Picchu.

Seed Selection

The seeds are very carefully selected by their skilled farmers in two separated phases in order to obtain only the finest seeds.

Distillation

The selection goes through a slow air-cooled distillation which uses no water in the process and helps to achieve a higher purity in the final product.

Bottling

Drop by drop the delicious Cacao Essential Oil is bottled. It is presented in bottles of 5 millilitres, 500 millilitres and 1 litre bottles. Maman Cacao is offering this special product in 5ml format.

I have worked intimately with sacred cacao from Peru for years and being there in May 2024 connected me more deeply to the land. I asked Spirit that I be shown if I was meant to bring cacao from Peru to this part of the world ~ shortly after KAUKAWA popped up and I was instantly drawn to them.

I had the opportunity to visit their space in Cusco and connect with their beautiful founder Fiorella Richter.

I feel honoured to be able to bring this labor of love to all of you.
